What are the differences between houses?

With the initial release of player housing the houses come in just two sizes: one room or three room (each has its own vendor). Houses hold 100 placeable items per room (or 100 and 300 items, respectively). There are a couple of basic styles and a few basic building materials you can choose for the exterior. You can see what a house looks like by left clicking a house name on the vendor's list and then clicking the Preview button.

There is also a house type (hut, house, residence, or domicile) that specifies how many "any type" items (things not marked placable) the house holds. (These all look the same even though the name would make you think they would look different.) The following chart shows the number of placeable items and any type items each house can hold.
