The Parts

Perform the following 21 tasks to get the parts you need to make the Oculus. As you complete each task you will receive experience and gain faction with Ak’Anon Strike Force V. You will need to get your Ak’Anon Strike Force V faction to at least indifferent to purchase the toolkit to combine the parts (see below).

1. Pico Timing Gears from the task “I Can Fly

Ask Brislebum in Dragonscale Hills about "resources" and he will ask you to loot 10 Nymph Wings (faeries near Ladies of Light tower), 8 Crow Wings, and 5 pieces of Scarecrow Straw (off the crows and scarecrows at farm). Deliver them to him and you will receive Pico Timing Gears.

2. Weight Compression Disc XV from the task “Construction Junction, What’s your Function?

Ask Bobbenpin in Dragonscale Hills about "clockworks” and he will ask you to kill 5 Clockworks (any 5 will count), then plant his banner (Bobbenpin’s Banner) in the dirt patch outside Falrazim’s cave in the northwest area of Dragonscale Hills. Return to Bobbenpin with your findings and you will receive a Weight Compensation Disc XV.

3. Micro Timing Gears from the task “Darwin’s Award

Tell Darwin in Dragonscale Hills that you will “help assist you” and he will ask you to collect 6 Piece of Canvas (carnival area undead drops + ground spawns) in Loping Plains and 8 Levitation Crystals (minotaurs + ground spawns) in Dragonscale Hills. Deliver the canvas and crystals to Darwin and you will receive Micro Timing Gears. The locations for the ground spawns in Loping Plains are (place in your map file and reload your UI or restart the game):

4. Control Setting Gears I, II, III, IV, and VII from the task “Farm Clean Up - Crows", "Farm Cleanup - Doombugs", or "Farm Cleanup - Scarecrows"

Ask Sigglik in Dragonscale Hills about "profit" and she will offer you 3 different tasks: Kill 12 Cursed Crows, 20 Doombugs, or 10 Blighted Scarecrows in Dragonscale Hills at the farm area. You only need to complete one of these tasks to get your part. Return to Sigglik when you are done and you receive Control Setting Gears I, II, III, IV, and VII. (Because you can keep repeating all 3 tasks and the experience is good, this is a great place to hunt. If the farm is camped, any doombugs in Dragonscale Hills will work.)

5. Rigid Tamping Pinion LX from the task “Forgetful Nanzie

Tell Nanzie in Dragonscale Hills, “I’ll help,” and she will ask you to find her Pocket Watch on the doombugs and Handkerchief on the clockwork spiders. Return these 2 items to her and receive a Ridge Tamping Pinion LX.

6. Temporal Pinion XXXVIII from the task “Mechamatic Spelunking

Tell Overvolt Rigster the IV in Dragonscale Hills that you will “explore” The Mechamatic Guardian, a giant robot that wanders the area around the farm and the Ladies of Light tower. You must have at least 3 people in your group and your group needs to tell Overvolt Rigster they are ready to “head into” the instance, then enter the robot via its foot (if you don't you will find out just how hard the giant robot can kick you). Using the Hypo-Mechanical Cartographical Scanner he gave you, explore the entrance area of the Mechamatic Guardian and destroy some steamworks to gather information. Then explore the Waste Disposal Area and the Engineering Room then destroy some more steamworks to gather additional information. Next explore the CDS (Central Defense Systems) room and the PEC (Primary Extremity Control) room. Destroy two Mechano Steam Warders to gather some more positional data then explore the teleport pad leading to the Terminus Cerebrus area. By this point you will have explored the entire interior of the robot and will be in the head. Return the Scanner to Overvolt Rigster and you will receive a Temporal Pinion XXXVIII.

7. Vertical Rotational Cam III from the task “The Steamwork You’re Looking For

Ask Overvolt Rigster the IV in Dragonscale Hills about “scout clockworks” and he will task you with finding the clockwork that he sent to scout The Mechamatic Guardian. You must have at least 3 people in your group and your group needs to tell Overvolt Rigster they are ready to “head into” the instance, then enter the robot via its foot (if you don't you will find out just how hard the giant robot can kick you).  Scout Clockwork Arakyd is located at (-289, -153, -378) and looks like a Robopig. Give the Scout Clockwork Arakyd the Fuzzlecutter Motivator 5000 you got from Overvold Rigster and escort the Scout Clockwork to the nearest teleport pad. (Pathing is bad here and the scout has a tendancy to get lost - just take it nice and slow.) Return and hail Overvolt Rigster and receive a Vertical Rotational Cam III.

8. Horizontal Rotational Cam IV from the task “Modulation!

Ask Overvolt Rigster the IV in Dragonscale Hills about “modulators” and he will ask you to collect 15 Silver-Plated Gizmatic Modulators from steamworks in the Mechamatic Guardian. You must have at least 3 people in your group and your group needs to tell Overvolt Rigster they are ready to “head into” the instance, then enter the robot via its foot (if you don't you will find out just how hard the giant robot can kick you). The Modulators drop from the lower level (<80) steamworks which are found up until you hit the second teleporter. Turn in the Modulators to Overvolt Rigster and you will receive a Horizontal Rotational Cam IV.

9. Depth Field Prototype Pinion I from the task “Getting that Stabilizer

Ask Overvolt Rigster the IV in Dragonscale Hills about “stabilizers” and he will ask you to collect 15 Platinum-Fitted Hyper Stabilizers from steamworks in The Mechamatic Guardian. You must have at least 3 people in your group and your group needs to tell Overvolt Rigster they are ready to “head into” the instance, then enter the robot via its foot (if you don't you will find out just how hard the giant robot can kick you). The Stabilizers drop from the high level (80+) steamworks which are found after the second teleporter. Turn in the Stabilizers to Overvolt Rigsterand you will receive a Depth Field Prototype Pinion I.

10. Concave Focal Disc Mark I from the task “Creepfeet Thievery

Tell Miggletik Biggerton in Loping Plains at the Fang Breaker camp you are "interested” and he will send you to search for his caravan and retrieve his amulet. Follow the road north and check each cart on the way to the fort (until task updates). Enter fort invisible and single pull goblins around the back until you have killed 10 goblins. Kill the Creepfeet Supplier that spawns towards the front of the fort (Level 80, flurries) and loot an amulet. Return it to Biggerton and you will receive a Concave Focal Disk Mark I.

11. Zeka Clockwise Capping Rotator from the task “Endless Enemies

Tell Clockwork Warmarshal in Fortress Mechanotus you will “accept orders” and choose the task "Endless Enemies." Kill 3 Recyclers, 3 Troopers, 3 Consecrants, 3 Steamboilers, 3 Mechanics, 3 Flamemasters, 3 Siege Specialists, 3 Steamwork Mechanics, 3 Steamwork Menders, 3 Steamwork Troopers, and 3 Steamwork Strikers in Fortress Mechanotus. Then return to Warmarshal and receive a Zeka Clockwise Capping Rotator.

12. Azia Clockwise Capping Rotator from the tasks “Disable the Recycler” and “Hunt a Spy

This part requires you to complete both tasks in order to get it. It doesn't matter which order you do them in; you will get your part as the reward for the second one.

Tell Gurtrude the Spymaster in Fortress Mechanotus that you will do this "alone" and she will give you the task "Disrupt the Recycler." Go to the northwest part of Fortress Mechanotus (the recycling area). In the west part of the area, there is a ladder with a platform and a huge crane. Go up the ladder and to the center of the platform. Three "steamwork skitters" will spawn. Kill these to spawn three "steamwork reavers." Kill these to spawn the Waste Management Director. Kill him to get the task update, then report back to Gertrude.

Tell Clockwork Warmarshal in Fortress Mechanotus you will “accept orders” and choose the task "Hunt a Spy." Go up the first set of elevators and head to the right, find a clockwork spy and hail him. He’ll Feign Death (FD). Stay by him, and when he stands up and runs away, you’ll get the update. Go up the next set of elevators and head all the way to the left. Invis and walk inside the last round room to spawn the spy and four "steamwork skitterers." Kill them when they leave the room, then go to the next set of elevators and hail the spy before he goes up. Go up the last set of elevators and wait by the entrance of the mansion. The spy will path to you and FD by the door. Two big clockwork gnomes will spawn and path up there. Kill them (you can kill them singly if you get them before they reach the ramp). Once they are dead you can kill the spy and loot the black box. Give the black box to the Warmarshall and you will receive a Azia Clockwise Capping Rotator.

13. Beza Clockwise Capping Rotator from the task “Screw Loose

Ask Tabazin Gearfinger in Fortress Mechanotus, “what screws” and he will give you a Sonic Screwdriver and ask you to collect some screws for him (apparently he has a few screws loose himself). You right click the screwdriver in the appropriate places to removed the screw. Go to the oil refinery rig tower in the NE of the zone (corner) and click the screwdriver at all 4 pillars. Then go to the recycler area in the NW corner and click the screwdriver at all 6 pillars. Beware of roamers. Return the Sonic Screwdriver to Gearfinger and you will receive a Beza Clockwise Capping Rotator. The map locations are (place in your map file and reload your UI or restart the game):

Tell Clockwork Warmarshal in Fortress Mechanotus you will “accept orders” and choose the task "Switching Gears." You are given Mechano-Tool Kit. Kill steamworks and loot 5 Micro-Cogs and 5 Class “A” Cogs. Swap out the cogs of 10 steamworks by using the kit on a steamwork to swap out the cog. It has a range of 10′ , and can only be used on a low health (<40%) robot model mob. Return and hail the Warmarshal and you will receive a Zeka Counterclockwise Capping Rotator. (NOTE: This task may still be bugged and consume extra Class "A" Cogs.)

15. Azia Counterclockwise Capping Rotator from the task “Disrupt the Workshop” and “Supplies for Spies

Tell Gurtrude the Spymaster in Fortress Mechanotus, you are “alone” and choose the task "Disrupt the Workshop." Head to S.H.I.P. and hail Steamwork Spy MK-I near the zone-in to give yourself a clockwork gnome illusion. Proceed to the second floor, north room and get a report from Steamwork Spy MK-II and then to the third floor and get a report from Steamwork Spy MK-III (next to the injured spy). Find the Operations Manager on the second floord, south room (he should spawn when you go to the center of the room). Kill him and take the Power Stabilization Notes. Give the Notes to Steamwork Spy MK-III then return and hail Gurtrude.

Tell Gurtrude the Spymaster in Fortress Mechanotus, you are “alone” and choose the task "Supplies for Spies." You can buy all the parts from the Tinkering Merchant in Crescent Reach by the bank. You will need Grease, Metal Twine, Battery Casing 3, and Contraption Parts. You have to give these, in order, to the following spies: Steamwork Spy MK-IV (Gyrospire Beza, east edge), Steamwork Spy MK-V (Gyrospire Zeka, north edge), Steamwork Spy MK-I (S.H.I.P Workshop, just inside zone), Steamwork Spy MK-VI (Fortress Mechanotus, in a gully near S.H.I.P Workshop), and Steamwork Spy MK-VII (The Steam Factory,in Central Power Station Alpha) then find the missing spy in The Steam Factory.

When you have completed both tasks (in any order) you will receive an Azia Counterclockwise Capping Rotator.

16. Beza Counterclockwise Capping Rotator from the task “A Slave to the Grind

Tell Gurtrude the Spymaster in Fortress Mechanotus, you are “alone” and choose the task "A Slave to the Grind." She asks you to kill 20 Shock Troopers, 10 Shock Reavers, 5 Shock Strikers, and 2 Master Slavers in Fortress Mechanotus. The Combinations

Purchase T. Bildarol’s Missing Toolkit, a 5 slot container, from Automated Vending Unit II in Dragonscale Hills. You will need to get your Ak’Anon Strike Force V faction to at least indifferent to purchase this, but it will improve as you do the tasks above.

The combinations in the Toolkit

1. Combine parts 1-5 to create Intraternal Timing Control Mechanism (You get back piece 5 and can destroy it, as it is no longer needed.)

Pico Timing Gears + Weight Compensation Disc XV + Micro Timing Gears + Control Setting Gears I, II, III, IV, and VII + Ridged Tamping Pinion LX = Intraternal Timing Control Mechanism

2. Combine parts 7 and 8 to create Two Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot

Vertical Rotational Cam III + Horizontal Rotational Cam IV = Two Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot

3. Combine the Two Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot you just made with parts 6 and 9 to create Three Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot

Two Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot + Temporal Pinion XXXVIII + Depth Field Prototype Pinion I = Three Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot

4. Combine the Three Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot you just made with parts 17 and 18 to create Four Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot. This combine returns parts 7 and 8 as well, save them.

Three Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot + Right Curved Spatial Adjuster + Inverted Left Curved Spatial Adjuster = Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot (+ Vertical Rotational Cam III + Horizontal Rotational Cam IV)

5. Combine the Intraternal Timing Control Mechanism, the Four Dimensional Rotational Cam Pivot, and the parts 7 and 8 you got back to create Convex Focal Disc Mark II. Save this for later.

Intraternal Timing Control Mechanism + Four Dimensional Spatial Pivot + Vertical Rotational Cam III + Horizontal Rotational Cam IV = Convex Focal Disc Mark II

6. Combine parts 11, 14, and 19 to create Zeka Stabilized Rotator.

Zeka Clockwise Capping Rotator + Zeka Counterclockwise Capping Rotator + Forward Axis Spring VI = Zeka Stabilized Rotator

7. Combine parts 12, 15, and 20 to create Azia Stabilized Rotator.

Azia Clockwise Capping Rotator + Azia Counterclockwise Capping Rotator + Upwards Axis Spring LXIII = Azia Stabilized Rotator

8. Combine parts 13, 16, and 21 to create Beza Stabilized Rotator.
Beza Clockwise Capping Rotator + Beza Counterclockwise Capping Rotator + Sideways Axis Spring IV = Beza Stabilized Rotator

9. Combine part 10 with the Convex Focal Disc Mark II, the Zeka Stabilized Rotator, the Azia Stabilized Rotator, the Beza Stabilized Rotator to create the Model XLII Spatial Temporal Oculus.

Concave Focal Disc Mark I  + Convex Focal Disc Mark II + Zeka Stabilized Rotator+ Azia Stabilized Rotator + Beza Stabilized Rotator = Model XLII Spatial Temporal Oculus
